Mineral Exploration Licence Application

Sydney Marine Sand Pty Limited applied for a marine aggregate exploration licence in Commonwealth waters offshore of Broken Bay, NSW in August 2012, which would give the Company exclusive exploration rights over 150 km2 of seabed on the continental shelf. Little is known about the sediments in this area. SMS believes marine sand offers sustainable long-term resource management options for the supply of construction sand to local markets. Any discovered deposit could also be used as a possible source of sand for severely eroded beaches in the area.
As part of the Company's vision to explore and identify suitable offshore sand resources, it will promote an open exchange of information during the application process and the ensuing exploration program.
